With regards to apps, if you new to digital drawing and digital media, it’s about the mindset. Have an experimenting mindset. Because each app has its own learning curve. Each app has its own pros and cons. It is very important for you to understand what are your personal requirements and learning interests are.
I have seen very good artists with professional background struggle with Procreate because they were totally new to digital medium. Native iOS apps like Freeform and Apple Notes are accessible across Apple environment. Get your drawings and style comfortable with the native apps (Freeform) and then gradually start experimenting with the other apps. Don’t dive in to buy the app first. Try their free version.
Goodnotes and Collanote are good for note taking and journaling. Procreate is good for illustrations and digital drawings. Concepts is a merge of note taking and mindmapping and drawing. It’s all about your personal style, learning interest and most importantly curiosity. 😀
